The Importance of Systematic Theology
Bad Bible reading, bad systematic theology can be disastrous. If it doesn't lead you into a cult, it will at least fail to nourish your soul properly. I live in a highly anabaptist community where so often very little emphasis is placed on the importance of learning and formal training for pastors. And therefore the God's beloved people aren't fed very well. As we see more people starting to encounter Jesus, the gospels and Christianity as a fresh idea, systematic theology is all the more needed.
