The Invention of the Spoon

Sen: It's impossible to draw a line between spoons and sort of spoons. The invention of the spoon, like the invention of the wheel, is a conceptual break through. Different sorts of spoons that we find in different cultures are tied to specific food cultures. If you're generous with what you would call a knife in the context of culinary use, i think it's extremely clear that the knife predates the spoontat the fork doesn't, but the knife does.
