In a 78 paper by Bacchus, there's a whole paragraph basically thanking Iverson because the name of the paper is can we be liberated from von Neumann languages. And so he's, he calls out to Iverson though and says that APL is one of the few languages that is actually going in the right direction as opposed to like Algol and Fortran.
