I was actually really interested in science and like the philosophy of science before I even really deeply dove into Marxism. And so my already existing interest in Darwin and evolution by natural selection was something that I used and picked up and ran with when it came to trying to understand Marxism as a science. Understanding historical materialism through an analogy to Darwinian evolution via natural selection can be really helpful in understanding what we're doing here.
