We Shouldn't Believe in Miracles Because That's a Bad Explanation

For fallible knowers, in a chancy world, justified belief cannot be acquainted with the last fact you came across. This is why it is reasonable to be sceptical of claims for miracles, astrology, homeopathy, telepathy and other para normal phenomena. In all those cases, when you look closely enough, there's either no explanation at all, or a bad explanation - an explanation that contradicts what we already know in science. So this is how we know. We can reject things without ever talking about the evidence, because it's just a bad explanation.
