Is There Anything Better Than Intelligence?
There's nothing better than intelligence and to have more of it would seem an intrinsic good. Many smart people just have a fundamental doubt that any sort of intelligence explosion is possible, he says. The fear is not that computers will spontaneously become malevolent but that we could fail to anticipate some way in which their behavior could diverge however subtly from our own interests.
