It's shocking to me how close-minded people become as soon as they are profitably employed in something. The reason they never learn these things is they're in Wisconsin an incentive structure that actively disincentivizes reaching outside of your domain of expertise. As a researcher, there is no reason you will push yourself to a point where you learn what I think are skills that change your decisions.
