When I was writing like the snatcher port thing, I would just constantly read from the socket and just pass the things based on pattern matching and all that stuff. But then shelf came along so that made things easier. What were you using your IDs for at this time that you were like, okay, I need to make this package? Well, I was thinking of using Dart as a general language and I needed to put EODs into a database for IDs.
