The Immortal Life of Warfield
In this sermon Warfield gives us the example of Christ. He points out that God came as a baby and then a child and then a man, he lived his whole life here. And we can see an example of how to live in Warfield's life too. While everything had changed around him he stood fast on God's word but when he was at home he tenderly loved and he gave up everything for his wife. She was sick and frail but he put her at the center of his life so that he could take care of her. This blows my mind. I cannot imagine this. Every Christian joyfully recognizes the example ofChrist as in the admirable words of a great Scottish commentator
