The Cycle of Burn Out
The cycle of burn out starts with over commitment. It then goes into over extension until it gets to be too much, which brings us to the brink of overwhelm and then it's a quick slide into burn out. We know that we can stop the cycle by organizing our top shelf and re advertising our time and energy to those top shelf items first. The rest is either going to fit into small portions of left over time or not at all. And finally, we realize that self care is non negotiable. It has to be on that top shelf, or else we risk having unreliable energy to take care of anything else.
