A gesalatus was always a reconciler to someone who brought people together after strife. And this was probably his single greatest act of reconciliation. He calls up all the fighting men on a little raid on a rebellious neighbor. It's going to help them get their mind off the disaster and remind them who they are. But Sparta is not out of trouble yet. This rebellious neighbor we're talking about here is one of their major problems brewing.
