The Paradox of the Gradualist Approach to Democracy
Some argue that giving children the same rights at 16 is too fast. But in a mass democracy of millions, individual votes don't matter all that much,. It's not as if an adolescent who casts a vote in a way which they may later say regret, right? So I do subscribe to a certain degree of gradualism and there are certain things where it makes perfect sense to wait longer.
