How does your blood know to start congealing or getting solid to make a scab? We have all kinds of signals when you get a cut if your blood vessel is is cut open for some reason. The first thing there are the platelets, those little band-aids. And then once your cut is healed, that band-aid actually just slowly goes away and dissolves. Your body just knows what to do.
