A lot of Westerners are confused about the fact that Chinese police have no legal jurisdiction in Australia. The problem is they do back home. If you see a guy driving around in a Chinese police car in Australia and he's filming you when you're at a protest- Why do you think he's doing that? Yeah, not for fun. Not a joke. That's a massive intimidation. You can never go back to China and your family members in China might be liable for what you just did in Australia. So yes, it does have legal consequence. I don't care what you say about joke this. It's transnational repression"
