The Battle of Meledus
The Zelles Keans sailed with a third detachment of 13 ships to Lesbos. These were met by four ships under the command of Dineadis, a parioicic man from Laconia. Together they incited rebellions at Methimna and Mitelene. Back on the Peloponnesian shore, those 20 ships at Spiram finally broke through the Athenian blockade. They then prepared for a voyage to Kios. But when Astiocus arrived at Kios, he learned that Diamadon and Leon had added an additional 15 ships from Samos,. meaning they were now sailing with a total of 25.
