The Rise and Fall of AOL

AOL can be thought of as training wheels for the internet. Chat was what the house of AOL was built on. Americans by the millions took to AOL chat rooms to talk dirty, roleplay and act out sexual fantasies. In October 1996, Article and Rolling Stone estimated that half of all AOL's chat was sexually oriented.
