There is evidence to show that the environment itself is becoming more conducive for intensification close to the coast. The oceans are getting warmer, and there are changes in the atmosphere too. Once you make the atmosphere more moist, it will definitely cause the storm to produce more rain. That is primarily because of anthropogenic climate change.
