Is the Anti Ice Protection System Disconnecting?
Captain asked the first officer to disconnect the engine anti ice systems. The way they get a little more power, and the engines can keep pushing them up to where they need to go. I believe it also routs hot bleed air from the engines over the wings so that ice doesn't accumulate on the wings as well. This is bad policy, right? Well, i'm going to talk about that in a second, ok.
