The juridical techniques of appropriation and dispossession utilized across the settler colonial sites that I examine continue to inform the ongoing processes of settlement and displacement in Canada, Australia and elsewhere. Can we still not purgify such a structure and its transformations over time? Yeah I mean I think the periodization happens when we think about something like the emergence of neoliberalism. It requires different legal structures. It requires modifications to the legal form of private property ownership right. So I do think there are really important differences to be marked.
