There's a lot of people who think we all look ridiculous in all of our pictures because why are you guys always smiling, faintly? That's so true. A lot of places when someone takes a picture, people just kind of turn and look how they look. It was seen as you only smiled freely and widely if you were like wild or drunk. So it wasn't socially acceptable. Same with the Asian countries Typically, large shows of emotions are not okay as culturally accepted.
