Studying Other Parables Is a Great Tool in the Study of the Gospels

Thateis a method of how you tell a story. There's always a place for the punch line. And so if you want to understand a parable you now, then studying other parables is also very helpful. I think it is a great wealth of information because it gives us reference points that we otherwise would not have. We're not looking at jesus just as his own kind of unique island on to himself. We're reading him in context of a greater culture,. which is how things really happen in the real world.
