Eudaimonic love is about actively crafting our relationships to best suit the circumstances and the people involved. It's really taking into account the circumstances and how we can modify and have freedom to choose within these circumstances what suits us best or aligns with our values. In Sky Cleary's review of the books we read from Carrie Jenkins she says on I quote sexual desire and the dopamine rush that Helen Fisher attributes traumatic love are optional add-ons in her theory. All we need is oxytocin the chemical that seems to fuel affection and attachment but since attachment and affection describe all kinds of love it's unclear what makes love romantic according to Jenks' dual theory.
