The Importance of Reliability in ADHD Diagnosis
In 1994, ADHD is designated with three subtypes: inattentive, hyperactive impulsive, and combined. But research showed that the subtype are not reliable over time. In 2013, it became three symptom presentations. We don't want to decrease confidence in what is a reliable mental health diagnosis by making people question whether or not their subtype is accurate.
