The ECB's Reaction to a Rate Increase
Christine Lagarde has been saying the ECB needs to keep interest rates sustainably high if they're going to beat inflation. She sounded very hawkish and emphasized that the ECB need to deliver on its inflation target as well. How the data prints between now and then will determine whether the ECB will look to pause earlier rather than later. But certainly at the moment, the ECB or Lagarde is talking the game.
