The Path to Drama
I was neither encouraged nor discouraged. There really wasn't anyone around who knew anything about it. So there was a play... A bit. When it happened, but there weren't a lot of them in our school. And I certainly got involved where I could. It's not like my parents were in it. But luckily the idea sort of evolved with me. At 17 left school school and went to drama school. As you've moved through your career, you met people from different backgrounds. Are you struck by how possible that path would have looked if you're from a more privileged background? Well, I mean, possibly - although I don't know how possible.
