The Mycenaeans were the first civilisation to develop on the Greek mainland. They lived in and around palaces in what we could describe as principalities. Evidence has been uncovered that shows a wave of destruction occurring somewhere around 2300 BC at many sites across Greece. We will also look at the cultural aspects of the Mycenaians, their language, religion and how they lived.
