Do You Need a Counter Promotion?
In our industry, that's the ultimate leverage. If you really want a, you know, maximisr tential, you essentially threaten to quit. So if that's off the table for you, then i think really do what jamieson said, ask for exactly what you want. And frankly, five % to ten percent for a big promotion feels like not very much. But maybe it's like a midyear thing, and on your next review cycle, whenever that lands, maybe you'll have a chance to do five to cent again.
