The Great Southern Trend Kill
In 1996 Pantera put out a record called The Great Southern Trend Kill. That album came out the same year as Metallica's Load. In Rex Brown's book Rita says the Floods guitar solo was something that Darryl used to play in the pre-fill days and he once made me a sleep tape, consisting of 90 minutes of that solo with all the harmonics forwards and backwards so that I could fall asleep to it.
