Apple's market cap is something like $2.6 trillion, bigger than the entire UK stock market and 65% of the Japanese stock market. The company has done really well to create that kind of monopoly. But once you get to a certain level of development in terms of the size of the company, it becomes self-perpetuating. And at that point, it also becomes very much like a monopoly.
