If food is still on this super exciting pedestal from being off limits or from you labeling it as bad, then it's going to be really, really hard to honor your fullness. With our clients, we have a systematic process that helps them make peace with food so that it doesn't feel super overwhelming. Now the third thing that I often see getting in the way, creating a barrier to honoring fullness, is restriction and restriction that fuels rebound eating. This can play into chronic overeating, loss of control eating, emotional eating, binge eating.
