Lenin's Assassination
In 1918, Fanya Kaplan used poison-coated bullets to kill Lenin. She was executed a few days later by the Cheka Secret Police Organization. Since then, poison has become an integral part of the Russian government's arsenal. In 1921, Lenin established the government's first laboratory dedicated to researching and creating new weaponized poisons.
