The 48 Hour Rule Out for Observation in a Well Promising Infant
In a well appearing febrile infant, you can use one of whatever score you like because there's approximately 400 of those scores too. You can feel very, very, very comfortable just charging the infant at 36 hours, because the chance that something will be positive is almost nil. There's an eight time there's an eightfold increase of contaminant after that time if something does grow. So please if that kid is well appearing and is low risk send that kid home somewhere between 24 and 36 hours.
