The Paradox of the Mochikas
The mochika civilization flourished on the north coast of Peru between the first and eighth century AD. They experienced El Nino, but they didn't necessarily see it as a threat. Archaeologists have shown that the mochikas didn't lose many homes to flooding. But without preparations, life is only going to get tougher for the peruvians we spoke to. We are in the hands of God again. Let's see how El Nino treats us this time.
