The Paris of Late 1795
In late September, a royalist rebellion broke out in Drouh only about 80 kilometers from Paris. The British Navy landed a small army of emigre French troops backed up by redcoats. Among them was the Count of Artois, brother of the executed King Louis XVI. It had been years since such a high-ranking nobleman set foot on French soil.
