The Group of Disciples Isn't Just Random Individuals.
The group of disciples aren't just random individuals, they are closely related. Probably at least three of them are first cousins of jesus. They will have to use their cunning, trickery, wit and deception to survive in treacherous times. Their reliance upon the good shepherd is a sign of their sheep like character. This was a tight knit group with a tight knit family network around them.
