King Haber was a shell geologist who did a lot of his work back in the late 30s, 40s. He came up with these series of theories that you could use mathematics to model the production profile curves of individual oil fields and regions. And he made a very famous presentation at the annual meeting of the American Petroleum Institute back in 1956 where he said this is going to be quite a bold prediction.
