I think that a lot of human reasoning is actually relatively simple. It's all these like, various like, muddy bits and pieces and like, intuitions and like, it's crazy. But I think how to what the human brain does in high level reasoning uses this very messy, non-formal system. These systems could do useful things, just not as oppressive. This is one of the things that the reasoning systems themselves could do quite well.
