Todd VanDerWerff: "I've been working seven day weeks on this film in some manner since I started it. So I need to probably take a little time off and clear my head and try to get this thing off of me" He says he never had any burning desire to be in front of the camera until his wife Serena Rapin put him through American Film Institute. The last film he acted in, which was the film, the Victor New Year, got into Sundance and he didn't even have an agent. One of those calls was from Stanley Kubrick himself, so that was a very meaningful experience as a fledgling filmmaker.
