Introduction
The Zephyr docked at South Street seaport in July 1795. The health inspector was examining the crew to determine whether any of them are carrying Contagious diseases that might endanger the city. A young deckhand had died on board and his body was found inside a burlap sack next to a stack of crates. Doctor: "I'm recommending a quarantine a quarantine. Yellow fever is spreading throughout your ship"
