The Science Fiction Museum in Chengdu
In Asia, we are swinging over to China and landing in Chengdu where Zaha Hadid have designed another landmark building. The brief for this one was design the new science fiction museum for Chengdu. They've got probably the best architects in the world. You've got Chinese budgets. Throw it all together and you've got this incredible looking building which is very kind of space age and star shaped. It's supposed to look like a star cloud floating over the lake. And yeah, I didn't know this, but Chengdu is a leading incubator of science fiction writing in China. So there you go. Another little dinner party fact.
