What Do Copper Lates Tell Us About Living Animals?
Copper lates are the word used to describe fossili, scat from any animal. Scat becomes a copperlite when it gets buried quickly under the right conditions. Bacteria plays an important role in transforming soft material into hard rock. After enough time, voila, you have a fossil. But copperlits are much harder to identify. We usually can't figure out who dung it.
