For younger listeners, or for listeners who don't own land, it might make more sense to tilt more towards residential and apartment REITs. I tend to favor things like Realty Income Inc., which is ticker symbol O and public storage. If you are a younger person thinking about getting into real estate, probably the best thing you could do is look into house hacking.
