The Struggle for Voting Rights in the South
Hannah Rosin: Progress for black Americans was the result of black Americans fighting for it. She says Congress finally decided that African American men have a right to vote, maybe if they have the power to govern. There wasn't universal support for black people voting, but there isn't widespread support for it, she says.
