The Lord's Complaint to the Chaldeans

The Book of Habakkuk, Chapter 1, The Prophet's Complaint. O Lord, how long shall I cry for help, and you will not hear? Why do you make me see wrongs and look upon trouble? Behold, he whose soul is not upright in him shall fail, but the righteous shall live by his faith. He gathers for himself all nations, and collects as his own all peoples. Woe to him who gets evil for his house to set high on his nest! And when those that are wicked surround the righteous, so justice goes forth perverted. For still the vision awaits its time, it hastens to the end, it will not lie.
