The flu virus has a way of utilizing this system to wreak havoc on your, your body. So if you only think about viruses, viruses are not alive in the same sense as a cell is alive. A cell carries out metabolism. It can eat things. It can move around usually has some kind of motion. And so do cells. They create these little endosomes, which are like little cellular stomachs and then they use acid then to start breaking it down.
