Cleopatra VII is the last of the Ptolemies, so a Greek dynasty. She already has a son by Julius Caesar who's called Cisarian. Octavian and Antony have come to power together and have a rather uneasy alliance. After Caesar is murdered, she's in Rome at that point. So they're all kind of courting her.
