How to Avoid a Catastrophe in an Interview

Find as much information about the company before you apply as possible. Scope out social media to see how the company interacts with customers online. Ask for a trial run, spend an hour or two with the team. Make sure you get a chance to talk to your direct manager before you accept the job. Do you have any horror stories that could be avoided?
