Difference Making Ambiguity Aversion

If you're averse to ambiguity in the total prospect faced by humanity there seems no particular reason to think that you funding existential risk mitigation will reduce that total uncertainty. After all it was already extremely ambiguous what the prospect of doom was. So maybe difference making ambiguity aversion is on better ground than difference making risk aversion.
