Extreme weather events are contributing to existing inequalities or differences between communities. You have seen more and more people emerge from these places without a home and without their contents, and without insurance. After the bush fires in two thousand and 19 many people lost their homes in southern new south wales. They were also under ensured, or not ensured because of fires. And so you are seeing this class of people arise who are very, very severely affected by these events and with no means to recover.
