How to Rekindle a Friendship After Losing Touch

An old from an old friend from high school wants to meet me for lunch after losing touch with each other. It's been 37 years since we've spoken and we recently found each other on Facebook. I think maybe, you know, it could be a nice rekindling. But as someone who is sort of shrunk my own social circle down considerably because of just the logistics of seeing other people,. I find it very odd to go out and do the theater of getting tested and all of that and eating on a sidewalk for someone you haven't seen in 37 years.
